Peter Barrosse, Block 1530

Peter Barrosse was diagnosed with AIDS in March of 1986. During the time that Barrosse lived with AIDS he maintained a highly public profile. Those close to him credit Barrosse's positive attitude and dedication to keeping phyically fit during Barrosse's three year survival with AIDS.

The first Barrosse Memorial Walk for AIDS in 1990 drew over 35 participants to Overton Park to raise funds for PWA care. The total amount raised was in excess of $1,800.
